Behind the Scenes of The Other Side of The Pole: Alexandra

Meet Alexandra Price - the funky firecracker who plays Mylar in the upcoming family Christmas musical The Other Side of The Pole at Keyano Theatre! Alex keeps busy in the arts community as the Assistant Manager at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts as well as being a dance instructor at UpTown Music & Dance. She is an experienced performer with a lot of personality and heart!

"I first got involved with theatre when I was in Grade 4. I auditioned for Miracle on 34th Street and received the role of the Dutch Girl. I have since performed in over 16 plays and musicals including Marty in Grease, Roxie Hart in Chicago, a performer in The Vagina Monologues and as Corey-Lynn Valentine in the dinner theatre Fanny and Manny Tie the Knot."

"My favourite memory from the Keyano Theatre Company is the day I got the call casting me as Roxie Hart in Chicago. It is a role that I always wanted to play and one that I thought was out of reach. I learned so much as an actor during my time on that show that I have brought into my teaching and acting.

My involvement in community theatre has allowed me to be able to create, collaborate, and perform. These are all things that I love to do, and don't always get the chance. It has also allowed me to meet other people who have similar hobbies and I have even made some life long friends thanks to community theatre."

"My favourite thing about Christmas is getting together with my family and being able to spend time with them without the rush of everyday life. Coming to see The Other Side of The Pole is a great way to get yourself into the Christmas spirit! The songs are reminiscent of popular Christmas carols, and you will be humming them long after the show is over. Also, if you've ever wanted to see me rap, then this is your chance!"

The Other Side of The Pole opens on November 25 at Keyano Theater. Tickets available here or at the Keyano Box Office!
